Henrique A. Sealey transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Henrique was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands on November 4, 1935, Henrique and his two brothers and three sisters were orphaned at an early age. His aunt, Norma Pope, moved Henrique to her home in Laventille, Trinidad and raised him as her own. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
When Henrique became an adult, he moved to the USA to pursue the “American Dream”. He was fond of art and became a successful graphic designer in New York City for over thirty five years. Affer retirement, Henrique and his wife moved to Connecticut. After a few years of retirement, Henrique decided to go back into the workforce. He started a new career with the Hamden Parks and Recreation Department and worked there faithfully until he retired.
Henrique had a passion for music and could be found listening to all genres of music in his past time. He loved going to church and had a strong faith in God. He enjoyed preaching the gospel, teaching the bible and giving praises to God. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and served him faithfully until the end of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his sons, Neal, Brandon and Brian; his daughters Ava, Tatiana and Taaliyah; his brother Gift and his sister Patricia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, step-children, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Henrique’s life will be held on Friday June 23, 2023, at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 6pm. Viewing in Colonial from 5-6pm in Colonial. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com .
