Howard L Williams

Mr. Howard L. Williams, 75 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 17 th, 2023 at the Duke Raleigh Hospital in North Carolina. He was the son of the late Gaston Williams. Howard came to Waterbury at an early age from his birthplace in Montgomery, Alabama. His life changed for the better when he moved to Raleigh, NC. He loved spending time with his family and friends; his grandson Shawn always made him laugh. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandson Ishimael, who always loved to cook fish for him.

He leaves to mourn, his mother Thelma (Carter) Williams of Waterbury; 3 sons, Howard (Pookie) Williams of Waterbury, Brandon Williams of Waterbury; Dwain Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina and two daughters Dawn Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina and Teva Moore, of Alexandria, Virginia. He also leaves 3 nieces, Angela Williams, Michele Smith, and Tracy Jones. Howard has 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is pre-deceased by 1 brother, Leonard Williams.

He will be truly missed by all. The family would like to thank, Barbara Bordeaux, Angela Evans, and Charlotte Williams Davis. These special friends were there till the end.

A celebration of Howard’s life will be held on Monday March 27, 2023 at 11am at Grace Baptist Church 65 Kingsbury Street, Waterbury, CT. Viewing in Church from 10-11am.
