Israel C. Hunter Sr.

Israel C. Hunter Sr., of 24 Luke St. passed away on March 12, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born in Carlisle, Pa. on June 24, 1933 the son of the late John and Irene Hunter. He is predeceased by his wife Bessie M. (Moore) Hunter. He loved fishing, hunting, bowling and golfing. He served in the United States Navy for 20 years. He worked for the New Departure in Bristol, Ct., for many years. He also worked for the Waterbury Water Bureau then retiring.  He went to church at Evangelistic Deliverance Ministries. He is survived by 4 daughters, Lilian A. Hunter, Mae (Emilio) Molina, of Waterbury, ct, Alice Waterman of East, Hartford and Audrey Hunter of Torrington ct. 5 sons Israel C. Hunter Jr. (Dani) of FL, Lloyd and Catherine Hunter of Waterbury, Russell and Linda Hunter of N.C. Leroy, Hunter and Samuel and Michelle Hunter all of Waterbury Ct. And 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. And two nephews and a nice of Pennsylvania.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 10am at Colonial Funerals, 270 West Main St., Waterbury CT. Viewing in Colonial from 9-10am. Interment to follow with Military Honors at State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown CT. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
