Isschar M. Howard

Isschar M Howard, also known as IS, Izzy, T-KAI, and Kai of Hamden, CT, unexpectedly passed away on May 21, 2022, in Lyme, CT.

Isschar was born on October 5, 2005, to the union of Peter Howard and Sheila Jackson in New Haven, CT .  Isschar had a larger-than-life personality and a passion for the arts, including music, writing, acting, and drawing.  Isschar attended Hamden High School and Hamden Collaborative Learning Center, (HCLC), where he excelled academically and expressed his love for nature and animals.  Isschar will be forever missed by all who knew him.

Isschar leaves to cherish his mother, Sheila Jackson; brothers, Loneil Howard, Nasir Howard, and Martin Louis Ward; sister Bobbi Howard; maternal uncle Ali Braxton; maternal aunts Meagan Pinkard and Mariesa Jackson; maternal grandmother, Lillian Braxton (Mom); maternal grandfather , Martin Louis Jackson; maternal great grandmother, Pastor Ethel Gilbert ; a great grand uncle, Charles Green (Uncle Fatman); and Godmother Willette Priester (Duchess); paternal grandmother Etta Howard; and a host of paternal uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.  Isschar is predeceased by his father, Peter Howard and grandfather Louis Hall Sr.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Trinity Temple Church of God In Christ located at 285 Dixwell Avenue in New Haven.  Viewing will be held from 10-11:00 am and service will begin at 11:00 am followed by interment at Hamden Plains Cemetery in Hamden, CT.  Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
