James Murphy Iii

James Murphy III passed away on July 27, 2024, in Albany, GA, at the age of 27. Born on March 26, 1997, in New Haven, CT James brought joy and light to everyone he encountered with his fun-loving and playful spirit.

James never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His love for his children and family was profound and he was a cherished father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  James attended school in the New Haven and graduated from Hyde High School 2015.  He later attended Northhampton Community College in Pennsylvania in 2015.

James is survived by his Mother, Tamara Turner of SC; Father James Murphy Jr. of Hamden, CT.  His children; Nevaeh Murphy of NC and James Murphy IV of CT. Sisters; Jaynesha(Trevin) Footman of NC, Jada Murphy of SC, Milyra Goodjohnof DE and Jaylona, Jayla, and Jayde of  CT. Brothers; Antwan Turner of CT, Dajhon (Lonnice) Sutton of VA, PharodGoodjohn of DE, Jaylen Murphy (Dahailiah) of (CT), and Jayden Murphy and Jamorea Hooks of CT.  Grandmother Elder Lorine Murphy of NC; and bonus grandmother, Elder Joyce Cables-Newton of CT.

James was pre-deceased by Grandfather, James Edward Murphy, Sr.; Grandmother, JoAnne Turner-Gray; Uncles Tywan and LePriest Turner.

He also leaves behind uncles, aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.

Services to honor James’s life will be held at Trinity Temple COGIC, located in New Haven, Connecticut. The schedule is as follows: Calling hour from 10:00 -1100am followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am on Monday August 12, 2024.
