Jeffrey D. Gallishaw, a resident of New Haven, Connecticut, peacefully passed into eternity on April 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Jeffrey was born on January 2, 1981, at Yale New Haven Hospital to Vermell Gallishaw and Walter Coleman. He was one of five children, growing up in a close-knit family that remained central to his life.

He was a proud graduate of the New Haven Public Schools, where he developed his skills in culinary arts—an interest that reflected both his creativity and his love for bringing people together.

Jeffrey will be remembered for his deep devotion to family and friends, and for living life on his own terms. He embraced his passions fully, whether it was dancing, enjoying loud music, or expressing himself authentically and without apology. His unique way of showing love—often through humor, candid words, and playful “cursing”—was understood by those closest to him as a true expression of his affection.

Known affectionately as “the flyest in the family” and “our own president,” Jeffrey carried himself with confidence, individuality, and a spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on May 2, 2026, at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ in New Haven, Connecticut. The viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
