John William Levett

John William Levett, 88 of 100 Lexington Ave. died Friday December 4, 2020 at Autumn Lake Healthcare Facility in Waterbury, CT. after a long illness.

Mr. Levett was born August 9, 1932 in Notasulga, AL. He was born one of ten children to the late Ocie and Willie Lou (Rowell) Levett.

He was educated in the Alabama school system and attended Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church in Notasulga, AL. He also attended Zion Baptist Church in Waterbury, CT.

John was formerly employed at Toce Brothers Tire Shop in Torrington, CT., Century Brass Company and Radio Research Instrument Co.in Waterbury. He was a member of Goodwill Lodge of Elks in Waterbury, CT.

He leaves behind two sons, John B. (Rosemarie) Levett and Vernon (Danielle) Brown; Two daughters Loray Y. (James) Swain and Jackie (Cal) Andrews all of Waterbury, CT.; Fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grand children, three great great-grandchildren and One great great great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased in death by his parents, three sisters and six brothers

Memorial services will be held Saturday December 19, 2020 at 11:00a at Colonial Funeral Home 270 West Main Street. Walk through will be from 10:00am until time of service.
