Jorge (Modesto) Luis Espada

February 12, 1946-March 16, 2025

Jorge “Modesto” Espada of New Haven passed away March 16,2025 peacefully at St. Raphael’s Yale New Haven hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband of Donna Naser 63. Jorge leaves behind his children Michael Naser,Twins Terry and George Naser and daughter Ilina Espada,Maritza Alvarado. Jorge also was beloved grandfather of Michael “Mitcho” Naser, Karina Naser, Alexandria Naser and great granddaughter Gabriela Naser.Jorge is also survived by his Brothers Carlos Espada, Ramon “Monche ” Espada, Sixto Espada. Jorge was predeceased by his brother and sisters Hipolita “Irma” Espada, Carmen “Silo” Santini Espada, Margarita Espada, Gregoria “Carmen” Espada, Luis Espada, Benito Espada, Clotilde Espada, Angel Espada, Jorge also was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews who adored tio modesto. Jorge worked as a refuse laborer for city of New Haven and also was a printing tech at Screen tek printing of New Haven. Jorge was very active in his community and Formed Coamo social club in New Haven with his brother Ramon Espada. Jorge will be missed by many but he remains in our hearts.

A wake for Jorge’s will be held on Friday March 21, 2025 from 5-8pm at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT. On Saturday March 22, 2025 viewing at Colonial from 9-10:30am. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, CT. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
