Joseph Prunell Mitchell Sr.

Joseph Prunell Mitchell Sr of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2021.

Joseph was born May 1, 1970 in Waterbury Ct.

Joe graduated from Wolcott high school and was an amazing Football Player .

He also excelled highly in Track and Field. To this day holds the high school record for Shot-put.

Joe was an amazing athlete all through high school.

Joseph was pre deceased by his father William R. Mitchell Jr., His Oldest Brother William R. Mitchell III also his Paternal grandparents William R Mitchell Sr, Marjorie Clapp Mitchelland. Maternal Grandparents Edgar Eggleston and EdlarEggleston of North Carolina and Waterbury Ct.

Joseph is survived by his Mother Bertha Eggleston Mitchell of Waterbury.

His Siblings Vincent Mitchell, Quincey Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Karen Mitchell all of California and James Mitchell of Waterbury.

He is also survived by his children Joseph P. Mitchell Jr., KarysaMitchell, Devon Mitchell and Tiaynna Mitchell of Waterburyalong with his Grandchildren Kattelaya Mitchell, Jesse Martinez ,Chase Martinez  and Carlos Martinez Jr all of Waterbury.

Joseph has a Wealth of Loving Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins on both sides and Friends who will miss him dearly.

Services will be held Monday November 22, 2021 at Colonial Funerals, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury Ct. at 11am. The funeral will follow at 12pm to New Pine Grove Cemetery 850 Meriden Road Waterbury Ct. James R. Sanders, Funeral Director. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
