Joyce Bleatha Banks

Joyce Bleatha Banks earned her wings! On Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Joyce Bleatha Banks, peacefully transitioned from earth to rest at Milford Hospital surrounded by Loved ones.

Joyce was born on April 15, 1950 in Parmele, NC, to the late Evelyn Robinson and Charlie Banks. Joyce attended Parmele Elementary School where she completed early learning.  She later moved to CT where she graduated from Richard C. Lee High School.

Joyce Loved the Lord and you could always find her reading the Daily Bread by Charles Stanley. Joyce also  loved watching old Western movies. Joyce worked in the healthcare field for many years as a Nurses Aide and Dental Assistant.

Joyce is survived by her Daughter, Angel Banks, and a Son, Dwayne Banks, both of New Haven, CT.;  Grandson, Dwayne Jr.; one Sister, Carolyn Banks, of Hamden, CT; one Brother, Diego Robinson, of Springfield, MA ; good friends, Pam, Karen and Darlene

Along with a host of cousins, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn Robinson and Charlie Banks and one brother, Larry Banks.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11am at Colonial Funerals. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T.
