Joyce Elaine (Williams) Spears

Joyce Elaine (Williams) Spears, age 62, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Monday March 11, 2019 at YNHH. She was born on August 1, 1956, to David and Alice (Wiggins) Williams of NC. Beloved wife of the late Irving Spears for over 17 years. Cherished mother of Maurice (Tiny) Spears of Waterbury, Akera Spears, and Brittney Spears both of New Haven. Survived by one sister Barbara Wiggins of New Haven, 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one sister Jane Ester and one brother Will Wiggins. Joyce worked as a Paraprofessional in the New Haven School System for 19 years. She was avid member and usher of Faith Hope and Charity Church of Christ in Hamden.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday March 17, 2019 at Colonial, 86 Circular Avenue Hamden from 4-6pm. Interment will be on Saturday March 23, 2019 in Willoughby Memorial Garden in NC. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
