It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juliette Jones, who departed this life on January 31, 2025, at the age of 69. Juliette was born on February 10, 1955, in Anniston, AL, and later made her home in New Haven, CT, where she resided for many years.
Juliette attended New Haven public school and went on to graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Her professional journey included roles at Henry G. Thompson in New Haven, CT, Greyhound of New Haven, CT and RMC of Anniston, AL, where she was known for her dedication and compassion. Her passion for health, combined with her love for family and community, was evident in everything she did. She enjoyed reading, cooking, shopping, decorating, and, most of all, celebrating every milestone in the lives of her loved ones.
In 1998, Juliette rededicated her life to the Lord and found spiritual fulfillment as a member of World Alive International Church in Anniston, AL. Her unwavering faith and love for God guided her life and inspired all who knew her.
Juliette’s heart was as big as her love for family. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and found joy in supporting others in their times of need. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Juliette was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Jones; her beloved children, Alisha and Alphonzo Howard; her cherished siblings, Charlie Mae Rudolph, Patisia Jackson(Ray), Anthony Caver, and Phyllis Armstrong; her treasured nieces and nephews, Tomisha, Nicole, Lawanda, Keisha, Dashawn, Davon, Daquon, Samuel, Terell, and Zapora; and her adored grandchildren, Alphonzo “Nore”, Ziaer, Shaniqua, Teon, Tyasia, Johnae, Johni, Jonathan , and Kelnieice. She was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren. God-Daughters; Holley and Madoroa Sisters-in-love: Regina, Gloria, and Laverne. Also best friends Ula, Clarice, and Sandra. A host of family and friends
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary A. (Thomas) Miller and Samuel Caver Sr.; her brother, Samuel Caver Jr.; her grandparents, Frank(Naomi) Morris, and Alice(James) Ogletree; her daughters, Tanisha and Danielle Caver; and her granddaughters, Jaylaree Dozier and Breona Johnson-Howard.
In honor of Juliette, let us carry forward her commitment to love, family, and faith. She will forever be remembered and deeply missed.
A celebration of Juliette’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 5-6:30pm at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
