Kahshem Douglas

Kahshem, affectionately known as “Kosh,” was born on July 11, 1990, and departed this life on September 8, 2026. He was a beloved son, devoted father, cherished brother, and treasured family member. Kosh was deeply loved and will always be remembered for his strength, determination, and the special bond he shared with those closest to him. Although he faced many challenges throughout his life, Kosh continued to fight, persevere, and press forward.

Kosh loved his family, especially his children, who were his pride, joy, and greatest legacy. His presence, personality, laughter, and love will remain forever in the hearts of everyone blessed to have known him. He shared an especially close relationship with his siblings and did not play about the people he loved.

Kosh leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother and father; his beloved children; his sisters and brothers; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though Kosh is no longer here with us physically, his memory will never fade. His children will continue to carry his name and legacy, and his family will forever hold close the love and moments they shared with him. Kosh fought a fight that could have taken him long ago, but God had the final say. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and no longer has to fight the unseen battles of this life.

Kosh was loved, Kosh will always be remembered, and Kosh’s legacy will live on through his children and his entire family.

A celebration of Kahshem's life will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 11am at The New Trinity Temple COGIC, 285 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven, CT.  Viewing will take place from 10am - 11am.   Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
