Karen Harrison was born July 31, 1960. She was called home on February 12, 2026, at the age of 65.
She was the second daughter of Evelyn Holmes. Karen lived in (Philly) Philadelphia, PA until age 14, then moved to New Haven, CT, where she finished middle school and high school. She attended some college. She worked for Leon Bakery and worked in C.S.I. with the disabled children’s unit in billing and coding.
She had 3 girls and 1 boy. Godsons: Whitney Harrison, Lisa Harrison, and Keon Harrison. She had 4 grands: Synaitsdale, Dasaani Chambers, and Damiya Chambers.
Her siblings are Donna, Tina, Glona, John, and Tyrone, with whom she leaves behind so many memories. Karen’s best friends were Lynette Murphy and Greg Hargrove.
Karen loved to host events, dinners, parties, cookouts, etc. She always had a kind heart. Loving and hardworking, she opened her home to everyone with a cooked meal. She always kept it real, whether you wanted to hear it or not, but it came from love.
Karen will always be loved and missed by numerous family members and friends.
Karen was predeceased by her grandparents, Natalie Harrison and Gonzolee Harrison; her aunts, Marion Whaley and Glona Smith; her uncles, Gonzolee Jr. and Richard Harrison; her sister, Donna Harrison; and her cousins, Gilter Whaley, Yvette Anderson, and Shelly.
Karen was a party girl but a great mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to have a good time. Playing spades was her favorite, and she talked all the smack in the world. She threw countless parties. She loved to have her family around for laughter, fun, games, and a good time. It put a smile on her face.
Karen was a phenomenal woman who was caring, compassionate, loving, kind, and a beautiful person. She was very headstrong and had lots of wisdom, and last but not least, she was a God-fearing woman. Karen was always strong, hardworking, and a great mom. Mommy, you hurt us with this one, but you are in a better place. No pain, no gain, and you gained your wings to heaven. We love you.
