Kathryn “Kathy” Thomas

Mrs. Kathy Thomas, 72, took her eternal rest on Sunday, November 2, 2025 peacefully at home in Waterbury, CT.

Kathy was born in Danbury, CT on June 8, 1953, daughter of the late Earl Peck, Sr. and Catherine Matilda Skvaez. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Melony Fusco.

Kathy enjoyed the simple ways of life. Her hobbies included going with her son Stephen to thrift shops and for many years, she would enter into chili contests. She loved cooking, baking and ultimately anything that involved taking care of her loved ones. She always made sure to make sure those around her were okay - if Kathy loved you, you definitely knew it. She also had a very special place in her heart for animals and leaves behind her fur-baby, Abby. Kathy spent most of her life as a CNA and it was evident in her work with families just how much being a caregiver meant to her.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Abraham Thomas, Jr. of Waterbury; her children, Stephen (Kaitlyn) Lush of Waterbury, Anthony (Dallas) Fusco of Utah and Shane Fusco of Missouri; her brother Earl “Chuck” (Janice) Peck of North Carolina and her stepchildren; Alesia (Rashime) Ettson, Miya (Jeffrey) Thomas-Harris, Aaron Thomas and Kendra MacFarland, as well as a host of grandchildren and friends.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 65 Kingsbury Street, Waterbury. There will be no calling hours.
