Kim Nicole Senior (AKA MC-Snowflake) entered into eternal peace on August 17, 2024. Kim was born on March 27, 1966 in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Marshall Senior Jr and Sarah E. Senior. Kim was raised in New Haven, Connecticut. She was a graduate of James Hillhouse High School. Kim was a woman of many talents, she was the neighborhood barber for over 3 decades, rapper and producer, “handy woman”, baby sitter, and an awesome cartoonist. Kim was a lover of hip hop as we all know, and was influenced by many of the hip hop greats from the 80s & 90s era. Kim begin working on her own hip hop career in the mid 80s, soon after that she collaborated with longtime friend and neighbor Glenn Paige (DJ White Rock) when she then crowned her rap name MC-Snowflake. In 1989 Kim would release her single called “ I Wanna Know” followed by her second single “She’s on the move” gaining 50,000 units sold receiving her silver record. After Kim hung up her mic, she became a music Producer & song writer opening her own recording studio “Keep it moving records”, where she invited young inspiring rappers and singers from the community to create and master their craft. Kim solidified her own own style and hustle, making her skills known whether in the attic as producer, in the basement as a barber, or on the porch as a friend. The neighborhood “fellas” could easily say she was one of the best Barbers around and held it down in Newhallville for over 3 decades without competition. But, Kim’s Biggest accomplishment came on June 21, 1999, when she gave birth to her one and only daughter Nicole Victoria Jenkins who she created to be a replica of her personality and humor. This relationship blossomed into a trusted friendship with Nicole being her care taker and confidant to the very end.
