Lance Matthew Clark, age 33, of New Haven, CT entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 6, 2020, in Burlington, New Jersey. He was born on April 3, 1987, in New Haven, CT to Vanessa James and Charles Clark III (Gloria Clark).

Lance’s infectious smile captured the hearts of all of those that he came in contact with. He was an avid lover of welding and general construction as he had over 10 years of experience in these fields. He was formerly employed at Local 777 Plumbers and Pipefitters as a Pipefitter Apprentice in Meriden, CT; and ACI Construction Company as a Home Repair Specialist in Burlington, NJ.

Lance was truly a man after God’s own heart. He was enriched in God’s word and was a faithful member of his church’s elected men’s group, “The Levities.” His pursuits and interest include but were not limited to spending quality time with loved ones, playing the guitar, interacting with dogs, and riding motorcycles. He also had a magnanimous heart and love for children. We will never forget Lance’s tenacity, wit, humor, rap battles, and impromptu dance moves.

Lance was a member of Kingdom Keys Ministry under the tutelage of Apostle Racquel Stroud; his Pastor and Spiritual Mother. He leaves to cherish his beloved fiancé, Theresa Galberth of New Haven, CT; beautiful daughter, Naveah Clark of Cormwell, CT; and a host of Godchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Dwayne Clark and Charles Clark. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Walter James (Virginia James); paternal grandparents Fred Crenshaw (Beatrice Clark-Crenshaw); brother, Andre Clark; aunt, Renee Plinton, and uncle Walter “Tuffy” James. Lance is also survived by his aunts Karen Jefferson, Betty “Queenie” Clark, and Denise Clark; uncles Tyrone Clark, Noah Clark, and Wayne Howe (Marnique Howe); cousins, Walter, Terrell (Kayla), Travis (Latoya), and Monique James and a host of relatives.

Lance is fondly remembered by all as a loving son and father, devoted fiancé, and benevolent brother, cousin, and nephew.

A jubilee of Lance’s life will be held privately on Friday, April 17, 2020, at Colonial Funeral Home, 86 Circular Avenue at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Public viewing at Colonial from 9:00 am until 11:00 am (directives will follow). Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
