Lance M. Sherman 8/23/69-1/20/25
With a heavy heart, we announce the unexpected passing of Lance Michael Sherman on January 20, 2025. Lance was a light in the lives of all who knew him, known for his infectious laugh and his remarkable ability to bring joy to everyone he encountered.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Sherman, and his siblings, Kenitra Sherman, Marc Sherman, and Melneisha Mercer. Lance was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Sherman, and his brother, Melvin Sherman Jr. He will also be deeply missed by his daughters, Cherish and Sabrina, a son Micah, and his beloved granddaughters, as well as his Auntie Gwen, Aunt Rat, Uncle Terry and “Pops” Junie Britto,” a host of nieces and nephews, a slew of cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Lance will be remembered as the life of the party, a man who could light up any room with his humor and warmth. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Lance’s life will be celebrated to honor his memory on Friday, January 31, with a 10 a.m. viewing and an 11 a.m. service at Zion Baptist Church,137 Pearl St, Waterbury, CT.
He will forever be missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace, Lance.
