Larry Donnell Sanders

Larry Donnell Sanders born on August 25, 1951. He passed away on November 19, 2024. Larry was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina to the late Clinton Joseph Sanders, and the late Dorothy May Sanders, both of North Carolina. He was one of seven children: Patricia Sanders, Elaine (Matthew) Haynes, Theresa (Kenneth) Kornegay, Gregory (Wanda) Sanders, Derrick Sanders, and the late Kenneth Sanders. Larry graduated from Lee High School. He served in the marines and army. Larry worked at Winchester, U S Repeating Arms, and a series of other jobs. He was the father of five children: Larry Davis born October 18, 1968, Tyrone Brown, Dorothy Brown, Maxine Brown, and the late Darlene Brown. He has a host of grandchildren, including Terrence Brown born January 12, 1994, Patrice, Tylon, and Lorenzo, just to name a few! Larry also has a host of nieces, and nephews. His love for music will forever be continued on through his family and loved ones. At the end of any conversation, instead of good bye, he would always say “PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST!” And whenever anyone would say I love you to him, he would always say “BACK AT YOU!” He was loved by many and will truly be missed.

A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10am-11am. Burial will follow at State Veteran’s Cemetery in Middletown, Connecticut with full Military Honors.  Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunersls.com.
