Lawrence D. Boyd

Passed away peacefully in his home on July 15, 2023. He was born April 4, 1945 in Tuskegee Alabama to Amanda Boyd Jones and Samuel Boyd.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter and caretaker Mekio Howell of New Haven, step son Gary Howell of Columbus, Ohio. 2 granddaughters Taneisha Howell (Brandon) Curtis, and Destiny Howell. Great grandchildren Kiera Payne, Avery James, and Christian Curtis. He is survived by siblings from Suyan (Richard Davis), Eudora Boyd, and Stacey (Alfrezier) Wright.

He is predeceased by his late wife Reatha Boyd, parents Amanda Jones Boyd and Samuel Boyd Jr., and brother Joel Boyd.

Viewing and Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 26, 2023 at Faith Temple Revival Center 834 Dixwell Ave. Hamden CT. Viewing  from 10-11am. Funeral Service at 11am burial to follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Condolences can be made to Colonialfunerals.com.
