Lena F. (Guida) Purpora

Lena F. (Guida) Purpora, 90, of Orange, entered into eternal life on Saturday May 20, 2017 in Orange Health Care Center. Born on April 22, 1927 in New Haven to the late Amadeo and Carmel (Antonelli) Guida. She was predeceased by her late husband Anthony Purpora Sr. who she was married to for 55 years. Cherished mother of Anthony Purpora Jr. of Milford, Rick (Wendy Bowes) Purpora, and Debra Purpora both of East haven. Also survived by three grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother Joseph Guida and one sister Evelyn Rossomando. Lena’s passion was music, especially dancing. Anytime there was music playing she would always be on the dance floor.

Her funeral procession will leave Colonial, 86 Circular Ave Hamden on Friday May 26, 2017 at 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Rd. Orange at 11 O’clock. Interment will follow in King’s Highway Cemetery in Milford. Family and friends may call on Thursday at Colonial from 4-7pm.
