Lillian Banister passed peacefully into eternal life on October 21, 2020. She was born March 18, 1935 in Perry, Georgia to the late Stallworth and Grace Banister. Her life was a living example of what it means to love others. Kindness, gentleness, and grace permeated everything she did. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter and son-in-law Karen and George Howard; grandsons Ryan, Teal, and Brandon; sisters Martha Carney, Lucille Banister, and Christine Banister Pugh; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by four sisters Joyce Bryant, Sephern Wright, Sephene Banister, and Lois Pierce. She attended New Haven public schools and retired from AT&T in 2001. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed gardening and reading. Over the years she touched many lives and blessed anyone who had the privilege to know her.
The family will celebrate a private memorial.
