Mrs. Linda Darnell Davis Goodman, 71 of 68 – C Mortimer Street passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Linda Goodman was born April 25, 1953 in Waterbury, CT, a daughter to the late Willie James Davis Sr., and Hazel Marie Pittman Epps. Linda graduated from Wilby High School here in Waterbury, CT soon after she married Alton Lee Goodman Sr., from Gatesville, North Carolina, with a blessful 52 years of marriage before his passing.
Linda spent many years working at Scoville manufacturing company in downtown Waterbury well devoting her life as a wife and mother to their two children “AKA” Scoot and TETE.
Linda enjoyed spending time with family, playing bid whist, and spades, listening to her music, singing and dancing by herself while cooking, family meals in the kitchen, she called it “ the feel good music” of Patti LaBelle, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass. One of her favorite past times was watching her old time western movies. She was a proud grandmother who enjoyed every moment with her grandchildren. What we will miss most about “LYNN” is her engaging smile, her feistiness when she meant business, you know it, and her undesirable love for her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her son Alton Kimberly Feest Goodman Jr, of Bristol, CT and her daughter Shawntina Dwane Goodman Hodges, of Waterbury, CT, five grandchildren, Shadea Hodges, Desare Hodges, Dwaine Hodges Jr, Cameron Lee Goodman, and Caden Clinton Goodman.
She is also survived by nine siblings, Marie Epps, Lubby Epps, Gerldine Epps Pinkston, Keith Epps, Sharon Davis, Robert Davis, John Davis, Willie J Davis, Jr., all of Waterbury, Ronnie (Lucinda) Askew of Tampa, Florida, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends including John (Uncle Boo) Crump, Maddy, (Aunt Ginger) Smith-Driver.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, Curtis Epps, Clarence Pittman, Gaston Ireland III, and brother-in-law Emmanuel Iggy Jones.
