Listen to Obituary

Lisa Holley 62 of Waterbury, CT went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Lisa was born on February 13th, 1964, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late William and Edith (Hardison) Holley.

Lisa was educated in Waterbury public schools. She began her career in the healthcare field at United Cerebral Palsy Association at the Bidwell Center. She continued in the healthcare field working at Oakhill School for the Blind, then finally, at Southbury Training School. She truly loved and cared for each and every resident she touched. Caring for people was her calling and she loved what she did. She made an impression on the residents and staff alike. Making lifelong friendships.

Lisa loved reading and writing, she loved music, especially gospel, R&B, and soft rock of the 70s and 80s. But most of all, she loved the Lord, leading Bible studies with her beloved nieces and nephews, never missing an opportunity to teach friends and family about scripture. She was also a powerful prayer warrior. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunty, and friend. Her love of her family was evident in all that she did. She was an integral part of raising, and a fierce protector of, all her nieces and nephews, evidenced by how much they all loved and cherished her. She was a loyal and loving friend.

She leaves, to honor her memory, her brother William (Michelle) Holley, Sisters Iris Holley, Elizabeth Holley-Davis, Sandra Holley, and MaryEllen Holley-Moss. Beloved nieces and nephews Shana Freeney, William Holley III, Dominique Moss, Gabrielle Moss, Jayden Mobley, Niya Ellis, Gregorey Scott, Aneisa Scott, Manisha Holley, and Maurice Holley. And a beloved Aunt Grace Holloway and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, William and Edith Holley, she is preceded in death by her beloved brother Randy Holley, and brother-in-law Roy Davis.

We would like to send a special thank you to Accent Hospice Care. The nurses and PCAs of Waterbury Hospital 7th floor and the ICU staff of Waterbury Hospital and all of the CNA and nurses who lovingly cared for Lisa over the years.
