Lou Ann Hill-Brown, born in New Haven, Connecticut on April 2nd, 1960 affectionately known as “Lou Lou” was born to the late Daisy Mae Lee and James Henderson Hill, Sr. Raised by the late Lucinda and Herbert Ratley. Lou Ann transitioned peacefully and gained her wings at Ark Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Branford, CT on October 4th 2024. She attended New Haven Public Schools and graduated from Richard Lee High School in 1978. She was employed for 15+ years at Schick Incorporated. Lou-Ann was a member of Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church. She was a loving mother to five boys and married over 30+ years to Charles Brown.

Lou-Ann loved cooking and entertaining her family and friends. Lou Ann was considered the Big Mama of the Hill Family hosting countless family events, cook-outs, easter egg hunts, holiday dinners, birthday dinners, etc. Family was extremely important to her. Her door was never closed to friends nor family. She was always one call away to those she loved. She was a precious gem whose warmth and kindness will forever live in our hearts.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; Her Sons: Rameik Hill, George Godlock (Nichole), Jason Hill (Kaneisha), Joshua Brown, Noah Brown. Her 14 grandchildren: Sheneal Thompson, Daijam Godlock, Kayla Godlock, Kamari Godlock, Nataliyah Uribe, Keyana Godlock, Jayla Hill, Jasiah Hill, Jordyn Hill, Journee Hill, Jason Hill Jr., Aiden Brown and unborn granddaughter, Nalani. God-son: Maurice Hailey. Her Siblings: Cheryl Hill, Celeste Hill, Donna Conyers (Charles), Kevin Hill. Surviving Aunt: Sally Lee. Lou Ann is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of close relatives, family and friends.

A celebration of Lou Ann’s life will be held on Monday October 14, 2024 at 11am at Beulah Heights Church. Viewing in Church from 10-11am. Burial to follow at Beaverdale Memorial Pak. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
