Lula Thomas, 84, born February 15, 1939 in Cheraw, SC to the late Mack Robinson and Mattie (Short) Robinson Lewis went home to be with the Lord, August 7, 2023.
Lula was a compassionate, no-nonsense woman with a big heart who loved her family dearly. Lula was known for her cooking and loved sharing it with others. Lula shined a light in every room she walked into. That light brought joy, laughter, and kindness to others.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Edward L. Thomas, Sr., son, Edward L. Thomas, Jr.; brothers, Madison Robinson, Amos Robinson, and Andy Robinson; sister, Aurelia Hooks, bonus sister, Irene Burns and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Audrey Thomas and Lisa Thomas; son, William Thomas; grandsons, Ernest Odom, William Kee, and Aaron Roscoe; great grandson, Ameir Kee and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of Lula’s life will be held on August 16, 2023 at Colonial Funerals, 270 West Main Street Waterbury at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am.
