Lulu Mae Mathews

Lulu Mae Mathews was born March 14 1963 to the late Moses and Sarah Wilson . She departed this earth for her heavenly home on August 15 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Lulu leaves to Cherish her memory, her husband and love of her life for over 25 years Timothy Mathews,daughter Cheryl Wilson ,and sons Marcus and marquis bland and step daughter Darlene Mathews. Grandchildren Jalah Avery , Marcus bland Jr, markel bland ,Mariah bland ,and timiya Mathews , Her sister and life long friend Shirley Edwards , father and mother in-law William and Darlene Mathews and a host of aunts,uncles nieces,nephews cousins and friends .  Lulu was predeceased by her brother John lee mungo, Lulu graduated From Richard C. Lee Highschool in 1982,she was previously employed by Circuit wise and Peak electronics. She was lastly employed at Yale university. Lulu was a life time devoted member at joy temple church where she served on the usher board , a choir member , a rainbow tea captain and a faithful member in other church activities. Lulu had a warm heart and welcoming spirit and expressed love to everyone.

A Celebration of Lulu’s Life will be held on Friday August 23, 2019 at St. Matthews Church, 400 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven at 11am. Viewing is from 10-11am. Interment will be at Hamden Plains Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
