Luz Iraida Cruz

Luz Iraida Cruz, 59, of Waterbury, CT departed this life and entered into the gates of heaven on Sunday, June 7th, 2020, at Waterbury Hospital. She was born on March 12, 1961 to the late Farrell Cruz Martinez and Hilda Torres in Lares, Puerto Rico. She moved to Waterbury Connecticut in 1981 and has been here since. Iraida loved the Lord and was a follower and firm believer of Jesus Christ.

Iraida was one of a kind. She was a loving, caring, accepting, fun, humble, loyal, forgiving and genuine person. She had a pure and amazing huge heart. She loved serving and worshiping in the House of God. She always put others before her, no matter the obstacles she faced in her own life. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Iraida’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, in-laws and grandchildren. Iraida leaves to cherish and honor her memory; daughter; Aracelis Morrison (Terrance); son; Jose Soto (Jenny); son; Osvaldo Ubinas Jr. (Naisha); grandchildren; Anastazia, Josiah, Jermiah, Terrance Jr., Tyler, Jeymarie & Nalani.

Iraida is survived by her mother, Hilda Torres, and siblings Miguel Cruz, Frayman Caraballo, Luis Cruz, Sorangel Caraballo, Victoria Caraballo, Lilliam Caraballo, Janet Cruz, Santa Cruz & Reynaldo Cruz.

A private viewing for the immediate family. Then a graveside funeral service will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, June 20th, 2020 at New Pine Grove. Everyone is welcomed to meet at the cemetery for the service.
