Marguerite L. Johnson

​ Marguerite L. Johnson of New Haven, Connecticut entered into eternal rest on April 23 , 2022 . She was born on November 12 , 1948 in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Lawrence Green and Marcella Teague Wright. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, sister and committed servant of God .

​ Marguerite was education in the New Haven public school system . She gave her life to God early in life and never strayed away from her Father God. She loved him more than life its self.

​ Marguerite Leaves to cherish her sons: Melvin Johnson, Michael Green, Rodney Johnson, Travis Richardson ( Nakia ); daughter Kim Whaley (Henry). Eight Grandchildren ; Tyrone Spears, Tariq Richardson, Tristan Richardson, Taryah Richardson , Faith Richardson- V e la zquez, Mellisha Johnson , Melvin Johnson III, Melvin Johnson IV, Ty Tisdale; and Five Great Grands Mason Spears, Jayce Spears, Maddyson Richardson, Skyy Merritt, Angel Merritt . One sister Deborah Brown Newport News, VA; Four Brothers; Elder Lawrence Green, Springfield, Mass.; Marshall Green, Andre Wright, New haven, CT. and Randall Wright of High point, North Carolina. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

​ Marguerite was predeceased by her Parents Lawrence Green and Marcella Teague Wright, Her ex-husband Eric Johnson, Sister Jeanette Green.

A celebration of Marguerite’s life will be held on Monday May 2, 2022 at 11am at Trinity Temple Church. Viewing in Church from 10-11am. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
