Mark Aaron Kaliss

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Aaron Kaliss, 51, of Manhattan, New York. He passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Born on November 27, 1973, in New Haven, CT, to his late mother Patrice Kaliss and his late father Theodore R. Coleman Sr.

Mark earned his GED and went on to become the CEO of his own company. He had a passion for motorcycle racing and memorabilia collecting. An adventurer at heart, he also earned his pilot’s license and embraced life to the fullest. Among his many interests, Mark was an avid fencer and enjoyed spending time in the rehearsal studio working on music. As well as enjoying having dinner with his friends. Life was never dull with Mark around.

He is survived by his brother, Theodore R. Coleman Jr. of Derby; his sister, Myra Edwards of Hamden; two nieces, Myranda Edwards and Lastrianna Haynes of Hamden; his beloved pet turtle, “Turtle”; and many loving family members and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circle Avenue, Hamden, Connecticut at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. The service will be followed by a burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
