Martryce Sharell Gatling Sr.

Martryce Sharell Gatling Sr. Passed away unexpectedly May 11, 2023 at home. Martryce affectionately known as Rell was born July 6th 1981 in Waterbury CT to Juliette Stevenson and Wesley Blathers. He was the Stepson of the late Johnnie Alton Gatling.

Martryce was educated in the Waterbury Public School system and was an avid lover of sports. His love for baseball mainly the NY Mets was almost as great as his love for music and food. One thing Martryce loved above all was his family. Especially his cousins whom he shared various laughs and memories with and his siblings who spent their past times picking at each other in goodwill.

Martryce leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents Juliette Gatling of Waterbury and Reverend Wesley Blathers. One son Martryce Sharell Gatling Jr. Of Waterbury. One Daughter Janaya Slaughter Gatling of Bridgeport. 3 sisters Johnta (Tevin) Marshall of Waterbury. Elaine (Eric) Brown of Darlington SC. Monica Blathers of Waterbury CT. 5 Brothers Marlon Gatling and Jermaine Gatling of North Carolina. Terrence Fullmore of Waterbury Connecticut. Travis fullmore of Kentucky. And Jada McClendon of Waterbury. Several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Martryce was predeceased by his Beloved stepfather and mentor Johnnie Alton Gatling Sr.
