Mary Louise Walker

Mary Louise Walker, aged 76, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on December 24, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Born on December 8, 1949, in Miami Florida, Mary L Walker touched the lives of those around her with her strength, courage, and determination. Despite facing the challenges of her illness, she remained a symbol of hope and inspiration to all who knew her. Throughout her life, Mary was compassionate, loving, and had a heart of gold. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving deep lasting memories on the hearts of family and friends. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in her journey. Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Charles Walker lll. Her children: Anthony Benford, Charles Walker IV, (Carla), Cherie Vazquez, and Shawna Walker. Eight loving grandchildren: Anthony Benford Jr, Nigel Vazquez, Damar Byrd, Zaria Walker, Keon Vazquez, Omari Walker, Aiyana Vazquez, and Jayceon Harriott. Two great grandchildren: Zyaire Dupre and Antonio Aviles along with many nieces and nephews. Her sisters: Debra Benford, Gwendolyn Wilson (Perlie), and Carolyn Perry. Her brothers: Michael Bryant, David Bryant (Karen), Arthur Bryant, and Kurt Bryant. Mary was preceded by her mother Louise Bryant and her sisters: Mildred Benford, and Pamela Bryant. 

A funeral service will be held at Colonial Funerals LLC, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury, Ct 06702 on January 9th, 2026 viewing from 11 a.m. to 12:00pm (noon), Funeral Starting at 12pm (noon) Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery.
