Matthew Rispoli, 41, of Branford, Connecticut, entered into eternal glory on October 8, 2026.
Matthew was a loving, funny, and deeply caring person whose warmth, vibrant spirit, and deep love for Jesus impacted everyone he met.
Born on November 15, 1984, to loving parents Vincent and Donna Rispoli, Matthew walked closely with the Lord Jesus Christ throughout his life. A man of strong faith, his relationship with Jesus was a cornerstone of his existence, and he raised his children to put Jesus above all else.
Teaching his children about Jesus and sharing the good news of Christ with others, brought him the ultimate joy; he loved his children dearly, and the love he had in his heart for them radiated out of each child with every smile he put on their faces. He was so incredibly proud to be their Dad.
Matthew was a proud and loving husband to Alyssa Giordano-Rispoli, and their love was bonded in the love that Christ has for all of us. “We love because He first loved us.” (1John 4:19)
Matthew was employed at Southern Connecticut State University as a Stationary Engineer in the University Energy Center and was proudly pursuing his SE-2 Stationary Engineer's license. Prior to his career at SCSU, Matthew showcased his diverse talents by dabbling in the culinary arts and working as a skilled, licensed barber.
Matthew is survived by his devoted and loving parents, Vincent and Donna Rispoli; his loving wife, Alyssa Giordano-Rispoli; and his beloved children, Joshua Jacob Rispoli, Elisha Jireh-Nissi Rispoli, Tristen Giordano, and Lilyannie Giordano-Jimenez, whom he loved more than life itself. He also leaves behind his siblings, Vincent (Brittany) Rispoli, Sarah Rispoli, and Timothy (Margarita) Rispoli; his cherished niece, Gabriella Rispoli; his aunts and uncles; Gary (Tricia) Rispoli, Linda (James) Creevy, Lori (Ralph) Sgambato, and Donna Delbasso; and his cousins, Kristen Sgambato, Candace Rispoli, Michael Sgambato, Jennifer Jacino, Casey Kelley, Taylor Grand, and Bryan Creevy.
Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents, Vincent and Irene Rispoli, Rose Giaquinto Noble; his mother-in-law, Patricia Ann Giordano; and his nephew Timothy Leon Rispoli.
Thanks to Matthew’s faith and trust in Jesus and His finished work on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, his family takes comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed home by his Savior. A place where every tear will be wiped away from every eye; and there will be no longer any death; and there will no longer be any mourning, or crying or pain; for these things have past away. (Revelation 21:4) The everlasting impression Matthew made on our hearts will always be with us. Though he will be deeply and forever missed, we rejoice knowing that he is finally home in glory and love for all eternity. Thank you Jesus for the hope you give to all who trust in you.
