Nancy Elizabeth Alberino, passed away January 6, 2026, leaving behind a life of love, patience, and kindness. She was born on February 18, 1962 in New Haven, CT, to her devoted parents Theodore and Diane Yarish.
Nancy is survived by her siblings Pamela (Andy), Cynthia, Debra, and her brother Theodore (Kimberly); and her beloved children, Stephen, Christina (Rich), Nicholas (Shannon), and Michael. She was adored by many nieces, nephews, and her grandchildren as well. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, and her sister, Lori, whom she missed dearly.
Nancy worked as a daycare provider and school bus driver, jobs that reflected her natural patience and love for children. She was an amazing cook, and enjoyed crocheting and listening to music in her spare time. Nancy was also known for her playful jokes and warm sense of humor that could always bring a smile.
Nancy will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her selfless care for others, her strong sense of faith, and the simple joy she brought into everyday moments.
A Wake will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 in Colonial Funeral Home, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT. from 4pm-7pm. Visitation will be held on Monday Morning, January 12, 2026 in Colonial Funeral Home from 9:30am-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Rita's Church, 1620 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, at 11am. Burial will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Condolence may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
