A Loving Mother and Friend

Nancy (DeMarest) San Angelo , 70, Passed away on July 28, 2024 at Saint Mary’s Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born on June 11, 1954, in Waterbury, the Daughter of Charles and Josephine (McCartney) DeMarest. She is predeceased by her parents as well as her 2 Brothers, Charles and Edward DeMarest.

Nancy leaves behind her loving daughter Danielle San Angelo and partner Robert Madeux as well as her Lifelong Friend and Father of Danielle, Raymond San Angelo and his partner Pamela Perkins. She also leaves behind her 2 Sisters, Sandra Charette and Sue DiDonato, as well as her niece Michelle DiDonato and Nephews Robert DiDonato, Edward Charette, Joseph Charette and Micheal Charette. Nancy will be missed dearly by all her friends and family.

Nancy was born and raised in Waterbury where she worked at the telephone company with her mother, Josephine. She left the phone company to raise a family of her own in Watertown where she was an active member of the community. She had spent time volunteering at the schools and church frequently and spent many years as a companion for the elderly.

Nancy was known for her Kind heart and love for all people and animals. She loved to spend her time with her friends at the senior center playing set back and poker. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her daughter, cat and her 2 grand pups.

A service will be held at 11am on Saturday August 10, at The Union Congregational Church in Oakville. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society in Nancy’s memory. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
