‘Mitch’ was born October 22, 1958 in New Haven, Connecticut to Julia Green Lane and raised by his stepdad Gregory Lane. He was a loving brother to Lindsey, Elon, Demetrius Jr., and sister Deborah. He was placed by the public school system into private school (Foote School) because of his academic abilities. Throughout Mitch life, great brilliance was demonstrated. He went on to attended Lincoln University after graduating from high school. Mitch was on the path of his dreams when the trials of life began. It was at this time when Mitch found the salvation of the lord at Agape Christian Center under the leadership of the late Pastor Mattie Atkinson Darden, where he enjoyed spending time with his baby sister. Later in his faith he joined Sweet Hope Freewill Baptist Church where his mother belongs. He loved all his nieces and nephews. Most definitely a people person. Life had been a challenge for Mitch, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia a long term disorder. This is why he learned to live at Chelsea Place Health Center. The streets of New Haven could not handle him lol, and The Blood of Jesus was carrying him.
