Omar Ryan Jr.

Omar Ryan Jr., known affectionately as “Omeezy,” the beloved son of Omar Ryan Sr. and TyEast Taylor (Kwane Sr.) was born April 10, 1992, in New Haven, CT. He departed this life on July 11, 2026, at the age of 34.

Omar had a kind spirit and a warm heart that drew people to him. He had a way of making others feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated and he leaves behind countless memories to be treasured forever.

Omar graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in 2010 and continued his education at Gateway Community College. He dedicated his career to helping others as a Behavioral Support Technician with Behavioral Management in North Haven, CT. He made a meaningful impact through his compassion, patience, and commitment to those he served.

To know Omar was to love him. His infectious smile, generous heart, and genuine kindness touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether he was spending time with family, encouraging a friend, or simply sharing a laugh, Omar’s presence brought comfort and joy to those around him.

Though his life was far too short, the love he shared and the lives he touched will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, coworkers, and all who knew him.

Omar is survived by his beloved daughter Armani Sealy, his devoted parents Omar Ryan Sr. and TyEast Taylor (Kwane Sr.), siblings Kwane Taylor Jr., Quanasha Taylor, Kwanae Taylor, Katrina Brown, Kahsim Ryan, Warren Ryan, Quaya Hilton, Ariana Sykes, and Myesha Stevenson, paternal grandmother Betty Ryan, special friend Susie Otero, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents; Pauline Ford, William Edwards, Patricia Taylor-Wilkins (Freddie), and Earl Newsome predeceased him; great-grandparents Arlease Edwards, Catherine Ryan-Hilton (John), Lawrence Taylor, and Grace Ford (Henry).

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Trinity Temple Church, New Haven, CT at 11am. Visitation will be held from 10am-11am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
