Osvaldo Martini

Osvaldo “Ozzie” Martini, 68 of New Haven, CT entered into eternal rest on August 12, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 14, 1954 Northeast of Naples in Benevento, Italy and made his journey at the age of 4 to the Unites States. He is the son of the late Vito Martini Sr., Lucia Lanzetta Martini and brother to the late Vito Martini Jr.

Through-out his life he would become great at many things such as mechanics and carpentry and was always willing to lend a helping hand to both family and friends. He had a long career working as a Long-Haul Truck Driver and also served in the United States Marine Corps. Ozzie had and infectious laugh that could make you smile for days. Being such a foodie, he enjoyed having delicious foods especially traditional Italian dishes. Some of his favorite pastimes were going for long drives, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

Loved by many he is survived by brothers; Guido Martini, Lenny Martini, Adam Martini, and sisters Carol LeHerissier, Elena Dichello, and Lucy Winters. He leaves behind his loving children; Amie Monte, Laura Martini, Osvaldo Martini, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. “We love you dad; words can’t even express how much we miss you.”

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 17, 2022 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden from 4pm-6:30pm. Funeral Services will start at the Funeral Home at 6:30pm. Military Honors will follow. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com
