Oswald Ellis Jones

Oswald Ellis Jones 65 of New York passed on August 9, 2024. He was born on August 3, 1959 in Richmond VA to Thelma Jones Little and Sid Ellis Jones. Oswald was raised in New Haven CT and attended New Haven Public Schools.

He is survived by his mother Thelma Little Jones, Brother Sid G. Jones (Carol), sisters Monica Brandon (Alvin), Desiree Aseme, half sisters Lisa and Rhonda Dawson, Nephews Boyon Jones, Philip Crawford Jr. and Kyle Jones. Nieces Lauren Dos Santos (Vitor) and Lindsey Felder. Great Nieces Saniya and Kyley Jones. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is predeceased by his father Sid E. Jones, Sister Sharon Crawford (Phillip), Brother-in-law Daniel D. Felder Jr, nephew Quinton Jones and special aunt Audrey Ayres.

A celebration of Oswald’s life will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11am at Colonial Funerals 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT. Visitation from 10 to 11am. Burial to follow at Evergreen cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
