Ozzie Ree “Marie” Gaddy-Mcneely

Ozzie Ree ” Marie” Gaddy-McNeely, age 82, of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital (St. Raphael’s Campus). She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, September 5, 1940, to the late Celmer and Luvenia (Ward) Gaddy. She was the loving wife of Lorenzo A. McNeely of New Haven. Beloved mother of W. I’Ron (Marie) Gaddy. Cherished grandmother of Joshua Gaddy and Jenesis Gaddy. Also survived by brothers Huey (Shirley) Gaddy, and Charles (Nancy)Gaddy. She was predeceased by two sisters Dorothy McLeod, Marjorie Evans; and three brothers Dolphus, Ondria, and Clarence Gaddy.

A Celebration of Ozzie’s life will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Burial will follow after at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
