Pamela Dawn Whichard, 66 of West Haven, CT entered eternal rest on July 31 st , 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.
Pamela, affectionately known as “Pam”, was born on August 21, 1956 in New Haven, CT to Warren Willie Whichard and Wilhelmina Whichard. After graduating West Haven High School, Pam furthered her education at Stone Academy becoming a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. Pam spent her career dedicated to others and was celebrated by all of those whom she assisted throughout the past 30 years.
Pam approached everyone with a warm smile. She was a dedicated member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, attending on Sundays. She loved her friends as sisters and maintained that sisterhood throughout a lifetime. They enjoyed a good dance, a good mani/pedi, trips to the casino and a good laugh. Pam loved music from Anita Baker, Blue Magic, Donald Byrd and the Blackbyrds, Earth,Wind and Fire, Patti LaBelle and The Whispers. She attended many concerts near and far. Pam also enjoyed classic and current TV shows with ‘I Love Lucy’, ‘Bewitched’, ‘Sistas’ and ‘The Equalizer” as some of her favorites. When not relaxing, Pam could be found shopping, hanging by the beach, enjoying a good bite to eat or spending time with her family.
Pam is survived by her children, Darcey L. Reveron and Pedro O. Reveron both of West Haven, CT and granddaughters, Tremya Sweat of New Haven, CT and Kimora Sanders of West Haven, CT, mother, Wilhelmina Whichard of West Haven, CT, brothers, Warren Andre Whichard of West Haven, CT, Kenneth Whichard of Bear, DE and sister, Tanya Whichard of West Haven, CT along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pam was predeceased by her father Warren Willie Whichard.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Saturday, August 12 th , 2023 at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel Street in New Haven, CT. Calling hours will be from 9:30 am to 11:00am, with the service beginning at 11:00am and a reception to follow. Flowers can be sent to Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT 06514.
