Phillip Jamaal Harris-Evans

On Friday May 4th, 2023, Phillip Jamaal Harris-Evans suddenly transitioned from life on earth to  life in eternity. Phillip was born on February 7th, 1981 in New Haven, CT to which his birthday was shared with his father. Phillip was born to Phillip and Minnie Evans.

Phillip was a graduate of Hillhouse High School, following his diploma in his adult years Phillip was a certified dog trainer that grew to be an expert in his skills. Philip expanded his career in multiple manufacturing companies and assisted them with their work and spreading joy to the community.  Phillip was known for his love of transformer action figures that carried over his favorite childhood memories. Phillip was known for his charismatic ways and loyalty that he spread amongst his family and friends. Phillip was a friendly, loving, optimistic youngman with the thoughts that expressed an exciting and promising future. With overflowing amounts of love for his family and friends, and the life that he lived to fullest any chance that was given.

Phillip is predeceased by his maternal Grandparents Julius and Jane Harris, his paternal Grandparents Carl and Mary Terrell Evans, Uncle Mitchell Harris, and cousin Jason Mann. Phillip leaves behind his Parents Phillip and Minnie Evans, daughter Amanda Harris, Aunt Rozalyn Abjadae and Aunt Linda Harris. Brothers Marquis and Shawn Evans, Sisters Daijah and Shadae Evans. As well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews that adore him.

A celebration of Phillip’s life will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 11am at Ebenezer Chapel, 50 Dwight Street, New Haven, CT. Viewing in Church from 10-11am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
