Raymond (Ray) Anthony Ford 1961-2020

Ford, Raymond (Ray), 58 of New Haven, died peacefully on Monday May 11, 2020 after suffering from the Covid- 19 Virus. Born in Georgetown, SC by his parents Lou Ann Ford and the late Joe Louis Myers.  Raised in New Haven, CT Ray attended the New Haven public school systems.  Ray had a long career in construction working for himself at Ford Construction.  Ray is survived by his loving children Shantell Grimes (Darrel) of Tampa FL, Raymond Darden, Quantrae RayShawn Myers of SC, David E. Hedgepath of VA, Raysheena Ford, Caprie Ford, Rayshonda Ford along with his daughter in love Shaqueda Hawley (Taimar SR.) and son in love Michael Chesson Jr.  His sister Gail Browne (Roscoe), Franklin Ford SR (Susie), Rickey Ford,  Virginia Pino, Mary Mack, Lsenda Myers (James), Shawanda Miller (Calvin), Joan Milton  (Michael), Craig Myers (Carol) and James A. Myers (Janice) all of SC. Along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by one brother Reggie Lee Ford

Services will be held Tuesday May 19, 2020 from 11am-12pm (viewing) 12pm-1pm service at Colonial Funeral Home, 86 Circular Ave, Hamden, CT 06514. A maximum of 15 people will be allowed entrance into the building at one time. Immediately following the services, the burial at Evergreen Cemetery, a memorial celebration of Ray’s life will be held at a later date to be announced.
