Rebecca A. Simmons

Rebecca A. Simmons, age 53, peacefully entered into her eternal sleep on Monday, December 14 ^th , 2020 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden, CT.   Rebecca, also affectionately known to those that loved her as “Becky” was born in Meriden, CT on March 22 ^nd , 1967.  Becky attended school within the Norwich Public School system. Becky was loved for and will be missed for her big, friendly heart.  She was known for opening her home to her friends and family for sleepovers which she loved.  Becky also loved decorating her home, changing up her hair color and nails as well shopping and a good home cooked meal.

Becky leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted fiancé Andre Redd of Meriden, CT, her beloved daughter Aniyah Redd of Meriden, CT, Sons, Tyquan Houser of New Haven, CT and  Trayquan Houser of New Britain, CT, Mother and stepfather, Beverly and Robert Hamlin of Meriden, CT, Father, Henry Simmons of Southington, CT, “Father”, Don Ceruti of Florida,  Brother and Sister-in-law, David and Jan Simmons of Bristol, CT,  Brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Lisa Simmons of Tennessee, Sister and brother-in-law,  Audra and Brian Savarese of Florida and a host of stepchildren, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and longtime friends. The family would like to extend a special gratitude, to all who have called, sent baskets, prayed and other countless acts of kindness you have bestowed upon us in this difficult time.

A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at Colonial, at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10am-11am. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
