Reginald “Randy” Outlaw

Reginald Outlaw, departed this life on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved son of the late Margaret Outlaw and James Earl Outlaw.

Reginald was born in Danbury, Connecticut, on March 02, 1962 and was educated in the New Haven Public Schools graduating from Lee High School.

After high-school, Reginald joined the Marine Corps where he served for 6 years. He worked security for the New Haven Board of Education and Patient Support for US Veterans Affairs

Reginald is predeceased by his mother,  Margaret McCray Outlaw; his father, James Earl Outlaw; his sister, Donna Outlaw; his nephews, Antwone Ford & Marcus Spellman; and his grandson Raishown Taft Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two children daughter Tara Phelmetta; son Reginald Outlaw, grandson Ramelo Jason Taft. Two sisters, Deborah Stancil, Angela Outlaw Ford, seven brothers, Carlton Outlaw (Iris), Jeffrey Outlaw (Tammy), James Outlaw (Carole), Jonathan Outlaw (Rosa) Jimmy Spellman (Phyllis), William Spellman, Jesse McCray (Michele). He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, as well as great great nieces & nephews. He was affectionately known to his extended nieces & nephews as Uncle Ran or Uncle Reg.

A Celebration of Reginald’s life will be held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at Community Baptist Church 143 Shelton Avenue, New Haven, CT at 11am. Viewing will be held from 10–11am in the  Church.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T. Grasso Blvd, New Haven, CT. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
