Richard Fields Sr.

Richard “Richie Rich” Fields Sr., 76, passed away unexpectedly on December 29th, 2020 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the son of the late Otis & Sarah Bell (Peterson) Fields. Richard was born in Tuskegee AL on April 19th, 1944. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend. He was blessed to have seen 76 years of a fulfilled life. He enjoyed watching sports. Traveling to & from Connecticut & Alabama often to hang out with family & friends. He loved to spread love! Richard is survived by his wife Malinda Fields & his life will forever be cherished in the lives of his five daughters, Marshaneil Fields, Yvonne Fields, Cassandra Fields, Angelia Fields, & Melissa Fields all of Tuskegee AL. A special nephew Leo Willis.

Three sisters Evelyn Parker of Orlando FL, Sarah (Clint) Ivey of Waterbury CT & Mary Lynn Fields of Tuskegee AL. Three brothers David Fields, Albert Fields & Ronnie Fields all of Tuskegee AL.  A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends. Richard was preceded in death by his one son Richard Fields Jr, five brothers, Otis Jr, Leonard, Willie Lee Sr, James Fields & Ossie Fields.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 5, 2021 at Colonial,270 West Main Street, Waterbury from11am-12pm (Noon). Burial Will be held in Tuskegee, Alabama on Saturday January 9, 2021. James R. Sanders, Funeral Director. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
