Richard J. Murphy

Richard J. Murphy “Murph”, of Waterbury, age 58, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 20, 2020. Born on December 30, 1961 in Waterbury, CT., the son of the late Clayton and Jeanette (Cormier) Murphy. Richard was a lifelong Waterbury resident and graduate from Crosby High School. He worked in the flooring business for many years. He played sports in his earlier years, was an avid Yankee fan, and enjoyed watching Sunday Football. Richard is survived by one son Jason Luth of Naugatuck and one granddaughter. Brother of Judy Schmidt of FL., Tom (Laurie) Murphy of Waterbury, Bob (Kathleen) Murphy of CA., Eileen Murphy of Waterbury, and Nancy (Tom) Dunlap of Wolcott. Also survived by one niece Kelsey Dunlap and one nephew Tom Murphy, and a close cousin and friend Richard Stewart of Prospect. Predeceased by one sister Kathleen Simpson and one brother-in-law Jack Schmidt.
