Richard Jones Sr.

On February 22,2025, Richard Jones Sr. Passed away peacefully at CT Hospice in Connecticut at the age of 70. Richard was raised in New Haven, CT and attended Wilbur Cross High School. He lived in numerous states, spending many years in Watkins Glen N.Y. and Albemarle N.C. Richard loved to Rollerskate around New Haven and surrounding areas. He sometimes had a boombox in his hands or on his shoulder while skating. Music was Richard’s passion he played numerous instruments including saxophone, keyboard and quitar to name a few. Richard was the music minster for his Church Hope, Faith and Charity in Albemarte N.C. He loved writing songs, singing and playing music especially with his brother James Edward. Richard worked at Goltina & Aikmans as a maintenance mechanic prior to becoming ill, and eventually returning to New Haven, CT.

A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, Connecticut, at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10am-11am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
