Mr. Rico Lamar Sandelin, 34, 388 Perkins Hill Avenue, Waterbury, Connecticut passed away unexpectedly December 13 th , 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the son of Chandra Royster. Rico was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 19 th , 1986. He relocated to Waterbury in 1989 where he attended local schools for his education. He worked as a roofer doing landscaping jobs until present.
He was a loving father, son, and brother who loved his family and friends. There was nothing that he would not do for the people he loved. He was the life of the party who was always dancing, making jokes, and putting a smile on everyone’s face. If you were around him, you could not do anything else but laugh and have a good time because he was full of life. Anyone who knew Rico knew that he was loved by many. If you were a friend to him, he would consider you family and a friend for life. He was a real one and he will truly be missed.
He leaves to mourn 6 children, Siaah Landor, Zallique Russell, Rico Sandelin Jr., A’Janea Sandelin, Razer Sandelin, Razavion Sandelin, 2 brothers Rodrick Sandelin, Jevon Sandelin, 2 sisters Latiesha Sandelin, Sonyea Sandelin all from Waterbury; 4 aunts Carla Montaque, Gwen Duggan, Beverly Sandelin, Debbie Sandelin all from Waterbury; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He is predeceased by his grandmother Beatrice Ireland and his uncle Kelvin Sandelin.
A celebration of Rico’s life will be held on Monday December 21, 2020 at Colonial, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10am-11am.
