Robert J (Kelley) Kinnel

Robert J. (Kelley) Kinnel, age 56 passed away on March 25, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on December 12, 1967 to Delton J. Kelley and Barbara (Kinnel) Streeter in Waterbury, CT. Robert was a great son, brother, uncle, and cousin. Robert worked as a tire technician in Nashville, Tennessee. Rob “Poop” had a big heart and loved his family and friends. He enjoyed family gatherings and he will be truly missed.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory three sisters Maritza (Kirk) Herod, Candyce Kelley of Nashville, Tennessee, and Yaira Kelley of Atlanta, Georgia, four brothers Marvin Kinnel, Jamar (Blanca) Kelley of Waterbury, CT, Delton Kelley of Nashville, Tennessee, Jaqwan Kelley, New Haven, CT. Special friend Crystal Staten and family.

Heartfelt thank you to all Delton siblings and their children and Myron for the kindness and facilitating the transportation of Robert’s body back home to Waterbury, Connecticut. We are deeply grateful for their support in this difficult time. Additionally we want to extend our appreciation to the Nashville, Tennessee family and Pam Reed for their unwavering love and support.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Monday April 8, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church 65 Kingsbury Street, Waterbury, CT at 11am. Viewing in Church from 10-11am. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Colonial Funerals, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury and James R. Sanders, Funeral Director.
